Beauty of Perceived Value

Core concepts: misreading, polysemy, the Beauty of Perspective

The "Beauty of Perceived Value" Collection delves into the philosophical unity of “object” and “intention,” transcending superficial beauty to directly touch the essence and inherent spirituality of things. Rooted in the Eastern concept of “the unity of self and the world,” the series is reinterpreted in a contemporary jewelry language, exploring anew the dialectical relationship between “good and evil” and “beauty and ugliness.”

In the brooch Toxicity, the designer fully embodies this philosophy: crafted from Hetian black jade, it depicts uncanny flowers with concealed serpent motifs at their hearts. Through the depth of black jade and the sinuous form of the serpent, a microcosm rich with philosophical tension is constructed. Blending the symbolism of temptation from Western mythology with the Eastern wisdom of “the harmony of Yin and Yang,” the piece unveils the inexhaustible philosophy of life through contradiction and unity. This expression, which transcends traditional aesthetic boundaries, not only highlights a strong personal artistic voice, but also expands the profound potential of jewelry as a vehicle for philosophical thought.

Angel and Demon Brooch

MATERIAL:Titanium、Hetian White Jade、Diamond、Jadeite

SIZE:9cm×4cm×2cm,CREATION TIME:2024

The top of the flower is crafted from lustrous Hetian suet-white jade petals through three-dimensional carving, concealing a vital dynamism within the warm, silky stone. The sharp turns at the petal tips subtly evoke serpentine forms, hinting at nature’s dangerous allure. Clusters of brilliant diamonds are set closely upon the petals, glistening like condensed morning dew, creating a visual dialogue between dazzling radiance and the soft glow of jade. This duality of light interprets the two faces of temptation..

This is a revolutionary piece of jewelry—the "Snake-Slayer Sword" of the design world. Echoing the legendary “Snake-Slaying Uprising” in Chinese history, it serves as a tangible reinterpretation of Emperor Gaozu of Han’s iconic revolt.

The flower’s center acts as an allegory for the severed serpent’s head, symbolizing the breaking of old orders and the dawn of a new era. More than an accessory, this brooch is a manifesto. The Jade Blossom Brooch announces an impending transformation in Chinese jewelry design.

Toxin & Remecly Ring

The symbiotic form of scorpion and flower: the ring transforms into scorpion pincers, with 18K gold-forged vines twining around the finger—a restraint as much as an adornment, blurring the line between “prey” and “predator.”

The scorpion’s body is abstracted into the base of the floral stamen, while its jadeite-inlaid abdomen acts as a hidden blossom core—serving as a subtle metaphor for beauty often being the most elegant vessel of danger. Rooted in the philosophy of Traditional Chinese Medicine that “all things in nature generate and counteract one another,” scorpion venom can be used medicinally to cure ailments, embodying the symbiosis of harm and healing. This resonates with the ancient wisdom from The Yellow Emperor’s Inner Canon: “The five toxins counteract the five pathogens.” Toxicity and remedy share the same origin.

The bee's abdomen, crafted from 18K gold, and the petals, carved from Hetian suet-white jade, coexist in harmony upon the ring's face. The diamonds inlaid on the bee's abdomen echo the hue of the jadeite stamen; the bee's golden pincers coil around the shank, merging naturally with the veins of the petals—blurring the boundary between creature and blossom.

The integration of materials subtly metaphors that the most beautiful love lies in mutual fulfillment: growing more akin to one another as they elevate each other. The lines between the golden bee and the jade stamen gradually dissolve, just as two people deeply in love blur each other's outlines, ultimately becoming what is described in the I Ching as "Tai Chi": a distinct unity that inherently embodies the duality of Yin and Yang.

Transcendence Brooch

MATERIAL:Titanium、Heitian White Jade、Diamond

SIZE::5cm×3cm×2cm,CREATION TIME:2025

Inspired by the Taoist chivalric spirit of Li Mu Bai from Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, this piece constructs a philosophical realm through the contrasting imagery of “flower and sword.” Five petals carved from Hetian suet-white jade are suspended above a sword-shaped blade forged from titanium, framing an enduring dialogue between “the metaphysical Dao” and “the tangible instrument.” This is not merely a reproduction of wuxia symbolism, but a translation of the Taoist tenet—“the interdependence of being and non‑being”—into a wearable metallic poem.

Constructing a philosophical field through the opposing imagery of "flower and sword." The entire piece is crafted from titanium, with a five-petal flower carved from Hetian white jade suspended above a sword-shaped leaf forged from titanium.

The gecko’s body is rendered using the “micro-texture chasing technique” to simulate the texture of living skin, its tail curled naturally to achieve an elegant dynamic balance. It rests gently upon the Hetian suet-white jade flower, as if intoxicated by the blossom’s fragrance—capturing a vivid, lifelike presence.

In traditional Chinese culture, the “toxicity” represented by the “Five Poisons” (scorpion, snake, centipede, gecko, toad) does not primarily signify evil, but rather a primordial power. The deeper meaning of this brooch lies in the idea: “True protection stems from potent deterrence. The wearer is not merely innocent and pure, but a wise individual who understands how to safeguard themselves and their family.” As Buddhism teaches, “A Bodhisattva holds compassion in the heart, yet may employ thunderous means in action.”

With edges sharpened like serrations, the petals carved from Hetian suet-white jade contrast with the lush, fleshy texture of the jadeite stamen—while 18K gold outlines vein‑like leaf patterns that spread like capillaries. The juxtaposition of sharply serrated petals and warm jade, along with the blending of plant form and animal traits, achieves a paradoxical unity, translating the Eastern metaphysical vision of “the mutual transformation of plant and insect” into a wearable material entity. Breaking the boundaries of Darwinian taxonomy, the design unfolds a fantasy of botanical predation in which notions of “good” and “evil” become elegantly entangled.
